At Shemmy Moss (56Z SJ594688) Richard Gabb spotted a single Downy Emerald and several Common Blue Damselfly.

Ian Waller also visited Churton (45I SJ430565) and found three Variable Damselfly and a dozen Large Red Damselfly.

At Thurstaston Common (28M SJ243848) Harry Davies found plenty of Large Red Damselfly and a single Four-spotted Chaser. At Churton (45I SJ430565) Michael Read saw Four-spotted Chaser and Variable Damselfly.

On a walk along the Dee at Aldford (45E SJ415596) Mat Bingham was disappointed to find only a single Blue-tailed Damselfly.

5.5.13
Mat Bingham visited Anderton Nature Park (67M SJ651751) and found several Large Red Damselfly, Blue-tailed Damselfly, and Azure Damselfly. A search for dragonfly exuviae failed to find anything.

30.4.13
A Large Red Damselfly was spotted at Burwardsley (88G SJ518567) by Jenny Whiteside today. This is two weeks later than 2012, but still earlier than we were seeing damselflies in the 1980s.
