Tony Parker reports a male Migrant Hawker flying at Wigg Island (58G SJ532837) today. This is the latest ever Cheshire record for this species.

With a bit of sunshine about it is not surprising that a few late flyers were spotted today. At Black Lake (57F SJ538709) Bill Morton saw a female Migrant Hawker making a few atttempts at ovipositing, whilst at Dunham Park (78I SJ736870) at least a dozen Common Darter were flying when Colin Millington visited.

A visit to Delamere by Pam Taylor turned up a few dragonflies around the forest. On the mire next to Barns Bridge Gates (57K SJ542714) there was a single Migrant Hawker, 20+ Common Darter, and several Black Darter. Over on Blakemere (57K SJ548713) she also found the same species flying.

At Tatton Park Chris Storey found two Migrant Hawker at Melchett Mere (78K SJ753809).

Barry Shaw visited the River Weaver at Vale Royal (66P SJ647695) and found Brown Hawker and Migrant Hawker flying.

A couple of Southern Hawker were flying and ovipositing at a pond in Alderley Edge (87N SJ853774) when Chris Storey visited today.

Today at Sandbach Flashes (75J SJ728595 Dennis Swaby saw a couple of Migrant Hawker.
