At Vale Royal Locks (67K SJ640705) today, Peter Shaw saw a single Common Darter. Bob Bradshaw reports a couple of Blue-tailed Damselfly emerging at Stapeley Water Gardens (65Q SJ666513).

28.10.09
At Danes Moss (97A SJ909706) this morning there were several Black Darter and a few Common Darter. There were also five male and one female Common Darter at Thor's Rock, Thurstaston (28M SJ244849) when Michael Gardner visited. At Woolston Eyes (68N SJ651879) Trisha Thompson found ovipositing Common Darter and a couple of male Migrant Hawker.

A male Migrant Hawker was seen by Peter Shaw flying at Vale Royal Locks (67K SJ640705).

25.10.09
At Thor's Rock, Thurstaston (28M SJ244849) Michael Gardner spotted a few Common Darter and a couple of Black Darter.

22.10.09
Pete Leicester has seen a few Migrant Hawker at Anderton Nature Park (67 SJ651751) this month, and one was flying over the fishing ponds today.

At Stapeley Water Gardens (65Q SJ666513) Bob Bradshaw found that Blue-tailed Damselfly continued to emerge at the indoor pools.

Bryan Roberts took a stroll in Mobberley (78V SJ795815) close to the airport perimeter where he found seven elderly Common Darter.

Trisha Thompson headed for Wilkins Lane, Styal (88H SJ831843) where she spotted a single male Migrant Hawker on patrol. Moving to Lindow Moss (88F SJ822804) there were plenty of Black Darter and several Common Darter and one male Southern Hawker.

8.10.09
Out walking near a small pond in Henbury (87X SJ883740) this afternoon, I spotted a very mature female Common Darter busy feeding along a hedgerow.

Bob Bradshaw reports from Stapeley Water Gardens (65Q SJ666513) where he spotted four freshly emerged Blue-tailed Damselfly and a tandem pair. There were also several Common Darter with a few ovipositing.
