From Stapeley Water Gardens (65Q SJ666513) Bob Bradshaw reports yet more emerging Blue-tailed Damselfly today from the indoor pool. Bob comments that he does not see the adults flying around and he suspects that they do not live for long as there cannot be much for them to eat.

At Lapwing Pool (87G SJ824731) near Chelford Steve & Gill Barber saw two male Common Darter flying. Another was seen by Paul Flackett at Alderley Park (87M SJ848749) and a further insect at Saltersley Moss (88A SJ819806) by Barry Shaw.

From Alderley Park (87M SJ848749) Paul Flackett reports four Common Darter flying, including a tandem pair.

At Anderton Nature Park (67M SJ651751) David James found a couple of Common Darter today.

At Stapeley Water Gardens (65Q SJ666513) Bob Bradshaw reports a single female Common Darter in the garden display area and a pair of Blue-tailed Damselfly in the Palms area.

November has brought a couple of records from the Anderton area. Pete Leicester found a male Migrant Hawker feeding on midges at Anderton Nature Park (67M SJ651751) and a female Common Darter by the bridge at Carden's Ferry (67M SJ655749). The is the latest ever record of the former species for Cheshire.

Pete Leicester reports a single male Migrant Hawker feeding near Butterfinch Bridge, Marbury Lane (67S SJ661753) on a rather dull afternoon.

There were still a few Common Darter flying at Stapeley Water Gardens (65Q SJ666513) when Bob Bradshaw visited.

A single male Migrant Hawker was flying over the Trent and Mersey Canal at Billinge Green (67V SJ682711) this morning.

Down at Aldford (45M SJ442582) Neil Friswell visited his favourite pond where there were a few Migrant Hawker and Common Darter flying along with a single male Brown Hawker. Meanwhile Alan Redley visited Billinge Green Flash (67V SJ682713) where there were a few Migrant Hawker as there were at Anderton Nature Park (67M SJ651751) with a few Common Darter.

A male Southern Hawker was busy feeding at Ingersley Vale (97N SJ942773) this afternoon.

Bryan Roberts ventured out today around the Manchester Airport second runway and at Lady Lane (78V SJ795815) he found single Brown Hawker and Migrant Hawker with plenty of Common Darter still around.
