Nancha Bank (3)

19th October 1992

Passenger services were sparse on the line to Wuyiling and we only saw one whilst we were on the bank. Decorated QJ No.2823 hurries through the curves hauling twelve coaches unassisted. It slipped badly as it neared the summit and the driver fought hard to maintain progress until finally passing at walking pace.

Another view of QJ No.6952 climbing from Nancha.

Approaching the summit, QJ 6952.

At 9.22am a second train of empty flat wagons climbed the bank, this time headed by QJ No.6966.

QJ 6966 blasts its way to the summit

Working hard again at the back is QJ No.2590.
