Hailar Station

14th October 1992

After leaving the shed we moved to the road bridge over the railway at the eastern end of the station where the traffic was steady but slow..

The photographers attracted plenty of interest from the road traffic.

Below the bridge JS No.5741 was shunting.

QJ No.2885 arrived from Manzhouli with a freight. At this point we were treated to the sound of someone singing very loudly and very badly through the yard loudspeakers.

QJ No.2758 replaced and awaits departure whilst shunting continues in the adjacent sidings and an industrial branch which wandered off into an area of factories on the left.
