Working in partnership with British Waterways and others to secure the long-term future of Bugsworth Basin, Buxworth, High Peak, Derbyshire, on the fringe of the Peak District National Park.  The aims and objectives of this partnership are to secure Bugsworth Basin as a tourist centre and to encourage public enjoyment of this unique inland port at the terminus of the Peak Forest Canal, which was once a busy interchange with the Peak Forest Tramway for the transport of limestone.  Located at Buxworth in the valley of the Black Brook, close to Whaley Bridge, Bugsworth Basin is now seen as a major attraction for visitors with a range of interests and as a link to the Peak District National Park.
