Morwellham Quay limekiln 1

Whilst limeburing at Morwellham dates back at least to the 1570s, this kiln seems to have been constructed in the early 18th century. After the kiln was abandoned in 1856, the pot was filled in with domestic rubbish and rubble and later became a vegetable garden.
