Large Red Damselfly (Pyrrhosoma nymphula)

In Poynton (98B) Richard Gabb reports a single teneral Large Red Damselfly close to his garden pond.

Several Large Red Damselfly seen emerging at Risley Moss (69Q SJ666918) reports Rob McHale.

23.4.03
From the ponds at Handforth (88R SJ870835) Stuart Burnet found Large Red Damselfly today. This is his earliest record for the site by two days.

17.4.03
Mike Mulholland reports three Large Red Damselfly at Moore Nature Reserve (58Y SJ594683).

14.4.03
The season was underway today with a sighting of a single Large Red Damselfly at Little Budworth Common (56Y SJ584661) by Dave Walters. This beats the previous earliest Odonata record for Cheshire by five days.
